Brooklyn Law School Library in a Nutshell: Circulation Desk

This guide is a brief introduction to and overview of the Brooklyn Law School Library. Described here are the services, resources, facilities and staff of the Library.

Circulation Desk

The Circulation Desk is the first desk to your left as you enter the library.  It is staffed all of the hours that the library is open by full-time support staff during the week and by BLS law students evenings and weekends.  You may ask basic questions about the library here and charge out circulating and reserve material at this desk.  Materials on course reserve, regular reserve, some unbound law reviews, and recent issues of newspapers can be found here.  The library receives the following newspapers in print on a daily or weekly basis: New York Law Journal, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, National Law Journal.  The library also has subscriptions to the following magazines that are shelved in the first floor magazine rack near the circulation desk:  The Economist, Forbes, National Journal and The New Yorker.

For your convenience, the following items may also be charged out at the circulation desk:

  • Laptop computers
  • USB Drives
  • Headphones
  • Computer Locks
  • Dry Erase Markers (for use in study rooms)
