BLSL's OneSearch Discovery Platform

Tip: Run a keyword search in: OneSearch.  This BLS discovery platform searches BLS Library's SARA catalog + many databases containing articles.

Sample search:

  • Click one of the recommended "Publications" or run the search. 
    • Search results will include ebooks provided by EBSCO and EBC and articles in subscription databases such as Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, HeinOnline, JSTOR, Project MUSE and ProQuest. 
    • Tip: To limit by a specific material type, click: All filters 

  • Check the Source Type(s) you desire (such as: News, Academic journals, Books or eBooks) & Apply Filters. 

 

  • Sometimes search results include book reviews.  BLS patrons might need to use SARA catalog tab: ILL to request a book (or book chapter) through interlibrary loan.

  • This journal describes itself as "one of the dominant journals in American Indian studies" presenting "the best and most thought-provoking scholarship in the field." "It is a forum for diverse voices and perspectives spanning a variety of academic disciplines."

American Indian Culture and Research Journal published by UCLA American Indian Studies Center

  • This journal states it is "an internationally renowned multidisciplinary journal designed for scholars and researchers."
  • This is an open access journal.
