BLS Library provides many of the books above in digital form. BLS patrons who wish to read ebooks from a remote location need to implement the BLS proxy instructions for 1 web browser, then close/reopen that browser. Librarians recommend using Firefox for the proxy server. (If you successfully implement the BLS proxy instructions, a prompt will appear requesting your BLS username/password.) Program description: "In this high-wattage panel discussion celebrating the new Library of America anthology Latino Poetry, anthology editor Rigoberto González and contributor Yesenia Montilla will discuss the political and poetic geographies of Latino identity and culture in and beyond New York and how these relate to their own work and trajectory. They will address the relationship between craft and the social voice as well as questions of race, gender, sexuality, migration, and the many forms of Latino poetry inside and outside the academy. Moderated by anthology advisor and contributor Urayoán Noel. Co-presented with The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Education Center as part of Historias, a multi-year initiative celebrating the transformative impact of Latinx communities in New York City. Featuring actors Marlon Xavier and Juanita Castro-Ochoa."

In their latest books, authors Devika Rege (Quarterlife), Álvaro Enrigue (You Dreamed of Empires, trans Natasha Wimmer), and Dorothy Tse (Owlish, trans Natascha Bruce) track the collision of worlds between outsiders and city dwellers while probing the internal contradictions that shape the individual—and in turn, their relationship to their surroundings and its people.
