Antitrust & Competition: Practice Centers & Primary Sources

This research guide compiles resources on antitrust and competition law available at Brooklyn Law School.

Practice Centers in Bloomberg Law, Lexis, VitalLaw & Westlaw

Tips: BLS students, faculty and administrators self-register for Bloomberg Law accounts (no access code required).  Bloomberg Law will send an email response.  Remote access to Wolters Kluwer's VitalLaw Antitrust Practice Center requires implementation of the BLS proxy server instructions for 1 web browser.  Lexis and Westlaw require entry of an individual's username/password.

Primary Sources

U.S. Statutes

At the federal level, the principal antitrust acts include the Sherman Antitrust Act, the Clayton Act, and the Federal Trade Commission Act. All three have been codified in Title 15 of the United States Code.

U.S. Regulations

Most regulations are under Title 15: Commerce and Foreign Trade of the C.F.R. (Westlaw link provided here), but note that antitrust regulations are found throughout several titles of the C.F.R., so it is important to research thoroughly.
