This guide is designed to aid practitioners and law students in researching New York civil practice.

Introduction

Evidence trial aids and treatises are indispensable tools for a litigator.  Two types of resources are highlighted below.  The first set of resources, Evidence Manuals and Handbooks, assist in trial preparation and serve as a ready reference tool during trial.  The second set of resources are Evidence Treatises, which contain in depth analysis of legal issues and can be used as a source of support for legal memoranda and motions.

Search Tip: when researching in a law library catalog, use the subject heading "Evidence Law New York State" to identify relevant items in the collection.
