Finding the Right Expert: Search Tips

This section lists resources that help you identify an expert and her previous court appearances. Previous court appearances should be checked in order to prevent or prove inconsistent viewpoints by the witness. A resource list of organizations is also provided. These may be excellent places to find an expert on an off-beat topic.

This tool allows you to identify an expert by location and area of expertise. You can view an expert's publications, documented court appearances, verdict and settlement data, and news stories in which the expert appears.
To access, select the "Litigation Profile Suite" from the box drop down menu in the upper left hand corner of the Lexis+ Legal Research main page. (If you do not know the name of a particular expert, you can leave the search box blank and just use the location and area of expertise filters to retrieve results.)
