Law and Capitalism: Dissertations & Theses

Sources to support the Brooklyn Law School course: Law and Capitalism. Under development.

Dissertations & Theses

BLS Library does not subscribe to database: ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global.  New York Public Library states here that it provides "on-site access only" to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses

BLS researchers can click the SARA catalog record for: ProQuest > click link: ACCESS ONLINE VERSION - PROQUEST > in search screen, click tab: Dissertations and Theses > search by keywords (example: indenture contract).

  • ProQuest might suggest additional keywords.
  • Search results will yield the full text of "open access" dissertations and theses.

"Advanced Search" Option in WorldCat

  • Displays holdings of thousands of research libraries.
  • Run a search.  One post-search filter is: Format > Books > Thesis/dissertation
    • BLS faculty, students and staff can request works through BLS Library's interlibrary loan service.
      • To place interlibrary loan requests: Click tab: ILL in SARA catalog > enter your BLS user name (in format: firstname.lastname) & password > click: New Request.  Please monitor both your BLS "In" box and "Clutter" folder for messages about your ILL requests.
