"OneSearch" Discovery Platform & "Find a Source" Tool

Search many databases containing full-text articles through BLS Library's SARA catalog tab: OneSearch.

  • Tip: Search results will include articles in subscription databases such as Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, HeinOnline, JSTOR, Project Muse and ProQuest.  Remote access to these sources requires implementation/use of the BLS proxy server instructions for 1 web browser.

  • Tip: Enter: title of a journal (example: Journal of American History).  Click: suggested title or click: magnifying glass in search box to view database links to the journal and dates of coverage for the journal.  Remote access to many of the database links requires implementation/use of the BLS proxy server instructions for 1 web browser.  
  • Tip: If a publisher imposes an embargo on current content, search SARA catalog by the journal's title. (BLS Library might have a print subscription to the journal).  Also check New York Public Library's Articles & Databases page.  Some resources are accessible remotely to NYPL cardholders.
