Tip: Student Lawyer's website states that "basic access" to Student Lawyer is available to law students who join the ABA for free.  A law student can join five ABA groups for free.  Click here for details.  This could provide access to an ABA group's recent articles, videos and podcasts.

Tip: To view/search Bloomberg Law News by practice area: click Bloomberg Law's home screen tab: News & Analysis.  Place cursor on Bloomberg Law News and a list of legal topics will appear (on right) > Click: a legal topic.  List includes: United States Law Week.

If a current BLS law student, faculty member or administrator does not have a Bloomberg Law account, click here & register with your BLS email.  (You do not need an activation code, but you do need to wait for a reply email from Bloomberg Law before you can activate your new account.)

HeinOnline: ABA Legal News Sources & Bar Journals

Tip: Reading articles from a recent issue of a practice-focused publication could deepen one's understanding of new developments/key issues in the practice area.

BLS Library's HeinOnline database: ABA Law Library Collection: Periodicals - Includes ABA's practice-oriented journals and newsletters (alphabetically arranged).  

BLS Library's HeinOnline database: Bar Journals - Provides 150+ titles, including nearly all state bar journals (including NYSBA Journal w/ a 1-year embargo on recent issues), selected ABA publications and a few city bar journals.

Law.com - Aggregates legal news and analysis from ALM publications such as: The American Lawyer, Connecticut Law Tribune, Corporate Counsel, Delaware Business Court Insider, Delaware Law Weekly, Litigation Daily, Legal Tech News, National Law Journal, New Jersey Law Journal, New York Law Journal, The Recorder (CA), Supreme Court Brief and Texas Lawyer

Mondaq News & Commentary on Legal & Financial Topics

Mondaq - Aggregates news and commentary written by “professional advisers” on legal and financial topics. Provides pull-down menus of topics and regions.

Thomson Reuters Westlaw Legal News & Practical Law: What's Market

Practical Law: What's Market - Includes practice notes on current trends and market practice.  Scope: antitrust, corporate, securities, employee benefits/executive compensation, labor/employment, finance, intellectual property/technology and litigation topics.
