Library Supported Technology: Slido Accounts

This guide provides instructions and information about the hardware, software and platforms managed by the Library.

Creating an Account

Creating a Slido account is quick and easy. First, go to www.slido.com. On the upper right corner of the webpage, click on the green Sign Up button.

You'll be presented with a sign-up prompt; please use your Brooklaw email and any password you choose.

*Note: because you will have to sign into Slido on publicly shared computers when teaching on campus, we recommend choosing an easy-to-remember password that is different than your Brooklaw email password.

Types of Slido Accounts

Slido's default account is free, with limited features. When you initially sign up, your account will be the free type by default.

For BLS, there are two kinds of accounts:

  1. The free "Basic" account with core features
  2. The paid "Engage" account that BLS licenses for limited users

If any of the following are true for you, please reach out to the Technology and Reference Librarian to request an upgrade to a paid "Engage" account under our institutional license:

  • Have a class with at least 100 students;
  • Want to have more than 3 polls throughout a class;
  • Want to add images to your polls;
  • Want to run more than 1 quiz per class; and/or
  • Want downloadable analytics regarding participation and other datasets in Excel/CSV formats
